Answer:
There are 2 ways to block unavailable time...
- You can create a scheduling rule to block the time. These rules can be specified in the Scheduling Policies screen (Group Info | Sched Policies). There you can specify the resource(s), the time span, days of the week, and an associated message to display.
- As an alternative, you can create a user called 'Unavailable' (or any name you choose) to block out the time. When you create schedules for Unavailable, it will prevent others from scheduling that time period. If you want those schedules to show up in red, you can make this user a 'Maintenance User' (from the User | Pilot/Personal page). If you are authorized, you can make recurring schedules on a daily or weekly basis through a specified date.
