You have multiple options for how you use the resource information field. You can either enter a link to an outside information sheet for display from the N-Number of the schedule page, enter standard text, or enter text with some HTML formatting and/or links. The field has a maximum of 2000 characters.
- Link to information sheet: If you want the N-Number on the schedule page to pop up an information sheet, enter the link beginning with http. There can be no other characters or spaces before or after the link if you want the link to work from the schedule page N-number. (This link can also be clicked from the resource list.)
- Standard text: If you enter 20 or fewer characters, the text will be displayed on the resource list page. If you enter more than 20 characters with no web links, the text will be displayed as a link, which when clicked will display the text in a popup window.
- Formatted text: If the text is formatted with HTML markup, the window will displayed in a formatted popup window.
- Text with link: If you enter 1 or more URLs with additional text, the text will be displayed as a link, which when clicked will popup a window with the formatted text and with links to the pages indicated by the URLs. The URL must have a space between it and the next word. If there is a link break instead of a space, the URL may not be recognized. The following HTML tags can be used to format the text that is displayed in this window:
Here are all of your options for what can be entered into the information field:
<br> - This tag will cause a line break.
<b>text</b> - This tag will format the enclosed text as bold.
<i>text</i> - This tag will format the enclosed text as italics.
<li> - This tag will place a bullet in front of the text and cause a line break.
<u>text</u> - This tag will format the enclosed text as underlined.
<hr> - This tag will place a horizonal line across the page.
To enter a web link into the Information field, enter a URL beginning with http:// or https:// or ftp://. There is no need to enter any HTML tags around the link. The link can be entered by itself in the Information field or with text as long as it has a space before and after the URL.
