A maintenance user is a user that has certain privileges enabled. If you accidentally overwrite your maintenance user with a regular user, you can follow these steps to restore your user to normal.
To remove maintenance settings from the user:
- Select the user that you just added from the user list
- Go to the Pilot/Personal page
- Un-check the box next to Maintenance User and save
- Next go to the Authorization page
- Maintenance users are granted super-user rights, and also authority to make overlapping schedules. Un-check these options if you do not want your user to have them.
- Adjust the scheduling authorizations for the user and save
To add a new maintenance user:
- Select a spare user
- Change the lastname to " maint"
- Go to the Pilot/Personal page
- Check the Maintenance User checkbox and save
- Go to the authorization page
- Check the super-user checkbox and also the authority to make overlapping schedules checkbox and save
