I did a little more research on the problem you are having opening those files. It seems to be a known bug in some versions of IE. I was able to duplicate this problem on one of my other computers. Though there is a hotfix for the problem, Microsoft recommends waiting until they have done more testing. In the meantime, I am sending you the link for Firefox, which does not seem to have the same problem. Go to the following link to download Firefox. Respond back to me to confirm that you are able to open both the newsletter and the instructor payroll report with Firefox.
Also, you probably want to have someone upload a real newsletter instead of just the test one that is up there.

This response is related to the issue you are having with the newsletter, which is also related to the issue you are having with the payroll report. Do you read this response and try downloading Firefox?

I have since downloaded Firefox. Per my phone conversation with Heidi, she had me do a few different things in my system which still did not work. I am sorry, but I was under the impression she was going to get back with me. Since this email, I went ahead and downloaded 'firefox' and then tried to upload the payroll and print the reports. It does work now. Thank You

Glad to hear that the payroll report is working for you.
Firefox should also work for opening the newsletter. Did you try that? Do you need instructions for creating and uploading a new newsletter?

Yes, I had checked and I am now also able to get into the "Newsletter". And yes, I need help typing the letter in there or downloading it - whatever needs done. It won't let me save - it is in "read mode only" and when I type in it, I try to save then it goies back to the "test" pattern one noting the "read mode only" response.

You can type the newsletter into a Word document – or various other supported file types. Then, you can upload the new newsletter from the Group Docs page. Steve uploaded the sample newsletter. He is someone else you can contact to help you with this if you do not understand the process.
