For organizations that require a minimum number hours to be current in a particular aircraft or boat in order to schedule it, there is an option to enter those hours. This feature can be turned on by going to Admin >> System Admin >> Group Options. There is a checkbox for turning on the external hours feature and a second option to require approval. These options are outlined in red in the image below.
General users can enter their hours by going to My Account >> My External Hours. The date should be the date of the flight/sail. The ID should be the N-Number or ID of the resource, which will not match any resource in the organization, but the category, class and model are based on the organization resources and may map to the currency rules.
If approval is required, administrators can approve or delete these hours by going to Admin >> User Mgmt >> External Hours. Hours can be approved one at a time with the link on the right, or they can be approved in bulk by select the checkbox on the right and then using the red button.
