This article lists the most significant recent enhancements to Schedule Master. At the end we also remind you of big features that have been around for awhile. Click on the title of the area of interest to get to an article with more information.
Rate Change notification - 5/27/26
We can schedule a notification that emails any users that are affected by a rental rate change.
New user scheduling authorization - 11/8/24
In the Scheduling section of the user authorizations (Auth tab of the user profile), there is a new checkbox labeled 'Exempt from group scheduling rules'. This will make the user being scheduled exempt from any group limitation on the number of schedules or the number of minutes scheduled as listed in the Scheduling Policy page in the Group Info menu.
Can specify user in recurring schedule notifications
There is a new user dropdown available to sysops to restrict recurring schedule notifications to a specific user.
User profile pic and resource pic - 8/31/23
There is a new screen as well as an API for uploading member profile pics and resource pics. These images are displayed in various screens.
New postflight screens with edit - 5/30/23
There are new postflight screens, which now have the ability to edit a previous postflight. And, we can add help text to the configurable fields. We are currently in the process of releasing these screens to all clubs.
Statement Email/Aging Enhancements 4/17/23
The aging screen now has the ability to trigger statement emails to users. Other valuable information has also been added to the aging screen to help with managing user balances.
Postflight fields Fields Added to Flight Trans 4/17/23
Postflight fields are now visible on the Flight Trans screen. Contact Time Sync if you would like to add some additional fields to your postflight. These fields can be used for custom invoicing and other processes.
We can now set an expiration of a checkout for those clubs that require a re-checkout every so many months or years.
New Information on Resource Status Page - 11/2/22
New Online Billing Config Option - 2/11/22
This new option will allow clubs to turn off the link for entering a postflight without a schedule from the 'My Postflight' screen. This will limit access to entering a postflight without a schedule to administrative users from the administrative screens for flight management.
Statement Link to Payment Processor - 12/1/21
You can now include a link on the user's statement page that will redirect them to your club's online payment processor. This is only for organizations not using our integrated payment methods, such as credit card, eCheck/ACH and PayPal.
Schedule Context Menu on Touch Device - 10/4/21
A context menu of options related to a schedule has been available for awhile through a right click of the schedule. Now this option menu is also available on touch devices with a long touch.
Schedule User Groups - 8/6/21
Scheduling groups can be defined to allow an administrator to schedule for a group of users. This might be useful for a variety of scenarios, including allowing an instructor to schedule for his students.
Schedule History - 8/2/21
If you want to see the edit history of a schedule, you can right click the schedule and select Schedule History.
Extra Fields on Schedule Page - 6/3/21
This enhancement allows us to add additional fields to the new schedule screen. There is the possibility for 2 free form text fields and one dropdown. Contact us for additional details and a quote for configuring and testing this option.
Resource Visibility by User - 5/25/21
This enhancement gives the flexibility to show or hide resources by user. If these fields are not set, the default is to show all resources. This setting does not apply to sysops.
Shared Resources - 3/1/21
This enhancement allows the schedules for shared resources to be viewed from a separate club. For example, if your organization has an instructor that instructs in multiple organizations (org A and org B) using Schedule Master, we can configure it so that the instructor schedules made in org A are viewable in org B and the instructor schedules made in org B are viewable in org A. Conflicting schedules would also be prevented. A schedule would only be editable from the organization that created it, and no detail would be displayed other than the start and end time and the chosen label (e.g. Busy) unless the signed in user was the instructor associated with the shared schedule. Configuring this option would require permission from sysops in each organization. This feature is currently in beta test. Resource status TTAF and TSMOH - 12/15/20
This enhancement records new offset fields for calculation of the TTAF and TSMOH, which are displayed on the Resource Status screen.
External hours for currency - 10/14/20
This enhancement will allow users to enter time for resources outside the organization. There is an option to require these hours be approved by a sysop. Any approved hours will be counted when determining any currency requirements for scheduling a particular resource.
New postflight list screen - 8/24/20
The new postflight screen will allow users to view recently completed postflights. The club can also set various options if they want to allow users to edit their postflight or recents. See article for more information.
New template options for password reset email - 8/3/20
The verbiage for the password reset email now has 2 options. The new welcome format is for new users, and the password reset template is for those users that forgot their password. The article for sending users their login information has been updated to include the verbiage from these templates. These templates can be customized by organization.
Configurable destination options/schedule type - 7/9/20
The list of destination options (or schedule types) is configurable. These options can also have corresponding placeholder text for the textbox to the right.
Waiver/agreement in scheduling process
This new feature allows you to format a waiver or member agreement image that the user must agree to before confirming their schedule.
Ride sharing enhancement to new schedule - 4/9/20
This enhancement allows the pilot to offer ride sharing by checking the option when making a schedule and entering the details. Ride sharing will be indicated on the schedule with a special outline indicated in the key.
User-specific report authorization - 4/6/20
This enhancement allows an organization to give specific non-sysops access to specific reports.
New Rental History/Currency Page - 12/20/19
This screen has a summary and detail view of your currency hours met.
The schedule can show a link to your club's home base weather, and the preflight can show a link to your destination airport.
Did You Know We Have...
Online Billing - For invoicing rental, dues and other charges and the option of receiving electronic payments. This allows the option of managing outstanding balances through credit limits, which can prevent additional scheduling.
Scheduled Maintenance - For tracking and visibility of recurring maintenance, such as oil changes, Annuals, and Transponders.
Squawks - For tracking and visibility of non-recurring maintenance issues.

Good work. But Schedule Master really needs an App. This is the most often heard suggestion among SM users.
